Wake up where the community rides
For three days this July, Newquay becomes the home of UK surf and skate culture. Elemental Surf Lodge becomes the only address that puts you a short walk from every ramp, marquee, beach heat and evening session. We’re honoured to be an official accommodation partner for the 2026 Expo.
Skate Expo Newquay · 2026
Three days, one town, every board on it
The UK Surf & Skate Expo brings surf and skate cultures together for one weekend in their spiritual home, the home of British surfing, Newquay.
Across three venues, a 7,000 m² Expo Village with a purpose built skate park, an 800 seat Expo Hall presented by YETI, and the town’s beaches and bowls, the weekend gathers the brands, athletes, filmmakers and riders who shape the culture in the UK.
Free to wander, ticketed for the talks, films and awards. The expo runs Friday through Sunday with the Wavelength UK Surfer Awards on Friday night and the European Surf Film Festival on Saturday night.

A lodge built for the people the Expo is built for
The Expo brings surf and skate together for a weekend. We do it every week of the year. Here’s why our values line up, and why staying with us makes the whole weekend easier, friendlier and a lot more fun.
Housemates, not guests
You’ll be sharing breakfast with skaters, longboarders, foilers and first time riders from across the UK and beyond. Conversations carry over from the Expo and into the lodge Games Room.
Wax it, ride it, dry it
Secure board storage, a proper wetsuit drying area and outdoor rinse showers. Bring the surfboard, bring the skateboard, bring both. The lodge knows what to do with them.
Everything on your doorstep
Fistral Beach is a 10 minute walk. Great Western Beach is 20. Concrete Waves skatepark is 25 minutes on foot. The Expo Village a 35 minute walk or a short ride. No car needed all weekend.
Dawn patrol included
The Expo opens at 9. Surf opens earlier. Coffee from 7:30, swell report on the wall, a lodge surf coach on hand if you want a private lesson on the water before, during or after the day.
Local knowledge, on tap
Our team surfs, skates and lives here year-round. Ask which break is firing, which Expo session is worth the queue, and where to eat after the awards. Real answers, not a tourist desk.
Tea, toast, tide chart
The basics, done well. Tea, coffee, toast, cereal and yogurt every morning. Honest fuel before the Expo Village opens at 9. Tide times and swell report up on the kitchen wall.
A weekend you can walk
The lodge sits between the train station and the sea, with the Expo Village a short walk one way and the beaches the other. No car, no taxis, no fuss.
The only room in town
that comes with a community
Sleeps up to 69 people. Three nights. One weekend the rest of the year gets measured against. Reserve now. We’re holding rooms for Expo guests until the end of May.
