Our group rooms mix doubles, singles and bunks to fit any party size. Every guest shares the dining room and lounge, so your group still comes together at breakfast, after the surf, and on the way out the door in the morning.
We sit between Towan and Fistral, with Elemental Surf Academy on the doorstep. There isn’t a better base for a group trip in Cornwall. We’ve been hosting them for twenty years and we know what works.

Most rooms are en suite. All have WiFi and tea and coffee. Every guest shares the dining room and lounge.

that make it work
No spa, no concierge, no nonsense. Just the things a surf trip actually needs, and the things a group trip can’t do without.
Communal dining & lounge
One big shared room where the group eats, briefs, plays cards and winds down. Mealtimes happen here. So does most of the trip.
Elemental Surf Academy
The academy is next door, not down the road. Lodge guests get discounted lessons and board hire. No need to go anywhere else to surf.
Games room
Pool table, board games and somewhere to be when the rain comes in. A favourite with school groups and uni trips alike.
Drying & storage
Proper wetsuit drying area and lockable board storage. Bring the boards. They have a home.
Between two beaches
Tower Road sits between Towan and Fistral. Ten minutes on foot to world famous Fistral, eight to Towan, twenty to the train station.

Free WiFi throughout. Tea and coffee in every room. Hot showers, warm rooms, clean beds. The things that quietly matter.

01 What is the maximum group size?
Group sizes vary by season and room mix. Contact us with your dates and headcount and we’ll come back with the right configuration, plus a whole lodge price if your group is big enough to take the building.
02 Do you offer group discounts?
Every lodge guest gets discounted surf lessons and board hire at the academy next door. For larger group bookings we’ll put together a bespoke package covering accommodation, sessions and any meals you want included.
03 Can you take school groups?
Yes. We’ve been hosting school residentials for twenty years. Our parent company Elemental UK handles the full programme. Accommodation, activities, logistics. Teachers turn up with the kids and we look after the rest. School programmes are here.
04 Is the surf school included in a group booking?
The academy is a separate operation, but lodge guests get discounted lesson and hire rates. We can package accommodation and surf sessions together for groups. Say so when you enquire and we’ll quote the combined price.
05 Where is Elemental Surf Lodge?
61 to 63 Tower Road, Newquay, TR7 1LX. Between Towan and Fistral, a ten minute walk to world famous Fistral Beach and a short walk into town.
06 Do you cater for the group?
For school and retreat groups, yes. Full board with hot breakfasts, packed lunches and proper evening meals served in the dining room. Stag, hen and private groups usually self cater or eat out in town. Either way, the kitchen and dining room are yours to use.
