Our 2025 season in numbers
As the waves settle and the wetsuits dry out, it’s time to look back at an incredible season. Schools from right across the UK made the journey to Newquay this summer, and the numbers speak for themselves.
From 28 April to 27 July 2025, Elemental Surf Lodge and Surf School delivered one of its biggest and most exciting seasons yet.
Year 6 through to Year 11, groups travelled from every corner of the country to ride Cornwall’s world-famous surf at Fistral Beach. Every one of them had a packed programme delivered by our team of qualified, DBS-checked instructors.
Here is what the summer looked like once we added it all up.

Every group worked through a full programme of activities at Fistral Beach, tailored to age and ability and run entirely by our own qualified instructors.
Surfing
From a first pop-up to riding a first wave, hundreds of students caught the bug on Fistral’s iconic breaks.
Bodyboarding
A firm favourite with every age group: fast, fun and absolutely exhilarating in the Cornish waves.
Bodysurfing
Brand new to our programme in 2025 and an instant hit. No board, no problem, just you and the wave.
SwimSafe Training
The skills and confidence to stay safe in open water, one of the most valuable things a young person can learn.
Beach Games
Team building and laughter on some of the best beaches in the country, the perfect way to round off a day on the water.

We love it so much we come back every year. Excellent location, with knowledgeable, fun instructors. Students talk about their enrichment week years later. For staff and students alike, it’s the highlight of the year.
The kids said it was amazing, possibly the best school trip they have ever been on.
