Whether you have never been in the sea before, or you are an experienced surfer, this is the perfect place to book your surf lessons in Newquay. Located at Elemental Surf Lodge you can book individual lessons, in couples or groups.
Our instructors are some of the best in the business. They are surfers themselves and know the best techniques to improve your skills so that you will catch the best waves of your life.

For over two decades, Elemental UK has been a cornerstone of Newquay's surfing community.
Our instructors have taught at various different locations across Newquay over the last 20 years, from the iconic peaks of Fistral to the more sheltered shores of Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze.

Where do lessons meet?
All lessons meet at Elemental Surf Lodge before heading down to Fistral Beach. Meeting at the lodge allows us to get everyone organised with wetsuits and equipment before starting the session.
How long is a surf lesson?
Our surf lessons run for 2 hours. We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your start time so we can get you fitted with a wetsuit and ready to go, ensuring you get the full time in the water.
Is there a minimum age for lessons?
Yes. The minimum age for group lessons is 8 years old. Children aged 6 to 8 years old can take part in a private lesson, but a parent or guardian must be in the water with them at all times.
How many people are in a group lesson?
We aim to keep our standard group lessons to around 6 people per instructor. This allows for more waves, more feedback and a better overall experience. For larger group bookings, we operate at a maximum ratio of 1:8.
Do you offer discounts for larger groups?
Yes. We offer discounts for larger group bookings (10+ people), including non-resident groups. Please get in touch and we can put together a bespoke package for you.
