Our Beginner Surfboards:

We offer trusted brands that suit all shapes and sizes, ensuring every new surfer finds the right fit. These boards have extra stability, soft foam tops, and rounded rails, making it easier to balance and catch waves.
Our Intermediate Surfboards:

For intermediate surfers, we’ve selected Ocean and Earth boards in 6', 7', 8', and 9' sizes.
After testing various brands we found that Ocean and Earth boards offer the best progression. Their shaped epoxy core and hard slick bottom provide the perfect balance of performance and control.

Surf Hire: & Equipment FAQs
What size board will I get?
Board size is based on a number of factors, not a one-size-fits-all approach. We consider your height and weight, your surfing ability, and the conditions on the day. As a general rule, beginners will be put on larger, more stable boards to maximise wave count and progression. From there, we adjust the size as you improve or as conditions change.
What wetsuits do you provide?
We use high-quality wetsuits suited to UK conditions. Our focus is on warmth, flexibility, and durability, so you stay comfortable in the water for longer. All wetsuits are regularly checked to ensure they are clean, well-fitting, and performing properly.
What happens if I damage the equipment?
We understand accidents happen, but equipment does need to be looked after. General wear and tear carries no charge. Broken fins or snapped leashes may incur a small replacement fee. Significant damage, such as a snapped board, may be charged at repair or replacement cost. We will always be fair and transparent.
Can I swap boards during my hire?
Yes, and we encourage it. You can swap boards at any time during your hire. This allows you to adjust based on the conditions or move onto something more suitable as your session goes on.
Do you have equipment for kids?
Yes, we cater for younger surfers. Minimum age is typically around 6 years old. We provide smaller boards and wetsuits to suit different sizes, and all equipment is fitted properly to ensure safety and comfort. If you are unsure, just ask and we will guide you.
How experienced is your surf school?
We work with over 4,000 students each year, ranging from complete beginners to improving surfers. Our team delivers surf lessons and equipment hire day in, day out through the full season, so we are experienced in getting people up and riding waves quickly, safely, and with confidence.

We are not just a hire shop. We are an active surf school. That means our equipment is used, tested, and rotated daily, our team will match you to the right board and wetsuit, and you get ongoing advice and support rather than simply being handed gear. It is a better experience, especially if you are new or looking to improve.

Yes, every time. We do not just hand you a board. Our team will talk you through the conditions and make sure you are on the right setup for your level, so you get the most out of your time in the water.
