What time do morning and afternoon surf lessons usually start?
Lesson times vary slightly depending on the tide and conditions, but we typically run morning and afternoon sessions daily. Exact times are confirmed at booking to ensure you get the best possible conditions for your lesson.
Do I need to have tried surfing before to join a group lesson?
Not at all. Our group lessons are perfect for complete beginners. We start from the basics and build confidence step by step, so whether it’s your first time or you’ve tried before, you’ll feel comfortable and supported.
How many people are typically in a “Small Group” lesson?
We keep our group sizes small, typically up to 8 surfers per instructor. This ensures everyone gets plenty of waves, individual coaching, and support throughout the session.
What happens if there are no waves or if the surf is too big for beginners?
We always work around the conditions. If it’s too big, we move to sheltered areas or adjust the session to suit beginners. If there’s no surf, we focus on skills, technique, and ocean confidence to make sure your time is still valuable and enjoyable.
What should I bring to my lesson?
Just bring a swimsuit, towel, and a positive attitude. We provide everything else, including wetsuits and surfboards. On sunny days, we recommend suncream and water.
How far in advance should I book during the summer season?
We strongly recommend booking as early as possible, especially during school holidays and peak summer. Our lessons fill up quickly, and booking in advance ensures you get your preferred date and time.
